Second edition of maritime expo, moot to start in Karachi from tomorrow

The second edition of Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC), to be held from November 3 to November 6, 2025, at the Expo Centre in Karachi, reported 24News HD Channel on Sunday.

Commander Karachi T(COMKAR) Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi HI(M), during a press briefing, said that the Pakistan Navy and with the support and patronage of federal and provincial departments, will see the participation of 45 countries, including Pakistan.

PIMEC’s 2025 edition will have 150 local and 28 international exhibitors participating from across the world.

Moreover, 133 international delegations from Europe, Asia, North and South America, and the Far East, including representatives from 44 countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Iran, Turkiye, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Australia, Egypt, and China, will also be attending the event.

In addition to the local exhibitors, PIMEC 2025 will also feature pavilions by the governments of Sindh and Balochistan, showcasing potential and investment opportunities in the country’s maritime sector.

The COMKAR also highlighted that PIMEC 2025 will encompass a wide-ranging maritime exhibition, business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) meetings, signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), and media interactions.

“Pakistan is blessed with a long coastline, deep sea ports, an abundance of living and non-living marine resources, coupled with a strategic location at the crossroads of major routes. Our country stands poised to play a pivotal role in the future maritime trade and connectivity,” he said.
