Two women burnt to death in Karachi fire

Two women were burnt to death after a fire erupted in a house in Karachi’s Orangi locality on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to reports, short-circuit led to the fire.

A vehicle of the fire brigade department rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.

Police said the bodies of the deceased women were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

They were identified as Kalimun Nisa and Atiqa, the Force informed.

300 huts burnt in Gulistan-e-Johar

Although the fire that had erupted in huts near Munnawar Chowrangi in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar locality has been extinguished, but it has a trail of destruction behind.

Out of total 500 huts, 300 have been reduced to ashes.

Besides that, motorcycles and sheep too have been burnt.

An area resident said that the fire erupted at 1:00 past midnight. “At that time, all of us were asleep. The moment the fire erupted, we ran to save our lives,” he said and added that two to three vehicles of the fire brigade department reached the site to douse the flames.”

He further said that all goods had been burnt.

He appealed to the government for help.
