The reverse leg of the UAE Tri-Series kicks off today at 8 pm at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Ground, with a fiery clash on the cards as Pakistan takes on Afghanistan in Match 4.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, a win tonight sends Pakistan directly to the final, while an Afghan triumph would blow the race wide open.

Pakistan, the most experienced side in the tournament, has lived up to expectations with two commanding wins, sitting comfortably on top of the table.

Their batting has been clinical, posting 182 and 207 in their first two games on traditionally slower Sharjah surfaces.

Skipper Salman Agha, Saim Ayub, and Hasan Nawaz have all notched fifties, while steady middle-order contributions have ensured the team’s dominance.

However, the bowling remains a concern. Pakistan has leaked over 50 runs during the power play in both matches, an area they will look to improve.

The return of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf remains the big question, though their younger pace brigade has shown admirable control so far.

Afghanistan arrived with confidence after a strong victory against the UAE, where their batting order clicked at crucial stages.

Still, opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz is searching for form, while Sediqullah Atal and Ibrahim Zadran have shown glimpses of promise.

Their spin attack, led by Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, remains their strongest suit, but the pace unit must step up against Pakistan’s top order after conceding heavily in the earlier encounter.

With all three matches so far won by teams batting first, the toss could once again prove decisive. Scores in the 160–190 range have consistently put chasing sides under pressure.
