Weather alert: Heavy rain forecast for Punjab and Kashmir

The Meteorological Department said in its weather alert on Tuesday that rain with strong winds and thunderstorm was expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mirpur, Murree, Galiat and surrounding areas during the next 2-4 hours.

Rain with strong winds and thunderstorm is expected in Kashmir, Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Havelian, Sidhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber and surrounding areas. 

Also, rain with strong winds and thunderstorm is expected in Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Kasur, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Sheikhupura, Mansehra and Haripur.

Heavy rain is also expected at a few other places during this time. Public should take precautionary measures during bad weather.
