Promotions board meeting postponed
An important development for the federal bureaucracy has emerged as the schedule for the Departmental Selection Board (DSB) meeting—set to review promotions to Grade 19—has been revised.
The meeting, previously planned for December 10, will now take place on December 23.
The upcoming session will evaluate promotion cases of officers moving from Grade 18 to Grade 19. Eligible candidates include officers from the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), Office Management Group (OMG), as well as a number of ex-cadre streams.
The meeting will be chaired by the Secretary of the Establishment Division. Chief secretaries from all four provinces and inspectors general of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are also scheduled to attend.
In addition, the additional secretary of the Ministry of Law and Justice and the Additional Secretary of the Establishment Division will take part in the proceedings. Working papers for the rescheduled meeting will be dispatched to all participants in the coming days.
