The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has geared up efforts for clearing Rs141.3 million dues of media houses.

For the purpose, the ministry sought help from the Economic Coordination Committee that is likely to take up the issue at its meeting today (Wednesday).

According to sources, the Finance Division may be asked to allocate the funds on a technical supplementary grant to the ministry so it could clear the dues.  The ministry launched an awareness campaign to stem the spread of coronavirus costing Rs141.3.
