21 Afghan nationals arrested in Turbat for illegal entry

Police have arrested 21 Afghan nationals during a blockade in the D Baloch area of Turbat, police sources said on Tuesday.

According to the sources, the arrests were made during routine checking when the individuals were travelling towards Gwadar.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested persons had illegally entered Pakistan.

Police sources said the detained Afghans belong to the city of Herat in Afghanistan.

Further legal action is being taken in accordance with the law, while investigations are underway to determine their travel route and purpose of stay.
