Karachi police arrest man linked to viral video

Karachi police have arrested a man after a video showing indecent behaviour in a car on University Road went viral on social media, officials said on Saturday.

According to police, the video was recorded on January 1 and began circulating widely online, prompting swift action by law enforcement. On the directives of the additional inspector general (AIG) Karachi, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Zubair Nazir Sheikh took immediate notice of the incident.

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Mubina Town Police Station was ordered to apprehend the suspect. Using modern technical methods, police tracked and arrested the accused within 24 hours of the video surfacing.

The arrested individual has been identified as Mohiuddin Ali. A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is currently underway.

Police officials reiterated that immoral and indecent acts in public places are intolerable and assured the public that strict action will continue to be taken against violators in accordance with the law.
