Sindh govt suspends 28 SBCA officials on corruption charges

The Sindh government on Tuesday suspended 28 officials including two directors of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) over allegations of corruption and misappropriation.

According to the notification issued by the Sindh government, local government and housing town planning department, the 28 officials including two directors of SBCA have been suspended and their headquarter will be fixed at local government and housing town planning department, Karachi.

The notification has also mentioned that an inquiry committee headed by Chiraghuddin Hingroro, special secretary (LG), local government and housing town planning department government of Sindh has been formed while Dr Jmaaluddin Jalalani, additional secretary (HTP), LG and HTP department. And Askhar Dawar, additional director general SBCA will be members of the committee.

The committee will conduct inquiry against the corrupt officials and furnish their report within six weeks.
