Meghan Markle skips Oscars amid Netflix show buzz
Despite speculation about Meghan Markle’s possible appearance at the Oscars ahead of her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, were notably absent from the star-studded event.
The couple has never attended the Academy Awards together, nor has Meghan made a solo appearance—even during her acting career before joining the royal family. With no acting nominations or presenter roles this year, their absence wasn’t entirely unexpected.
Instead, Meghan remained active on Instagram over the weekend, sharing glimpses of her personal life. She posted a heartwarming clip of her close friend Serena Williams spending time with her and daughter Lilibet. She also built anticipation for With Love, Meghan, which premieres on Netflix on March 4, writing, “Three days until the party begins. All are invited.”
When announcing the series, Meghan expressed the joy she felt while filming. “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it,” she wrote.
Beyond her Netflix project, Meghan is also gearing up for the launch of her lifestyle brand, As Ever. In a February 18 post, she teased the venture, saying, “Some of you may have heard whispers about what I’ve been creating.” She described As Ever as a passion project blending her love for food, gardening, entertaining, and mindful living—an extension of her former lifestyle blog, The Tig.
