High-value target among 5 terrorists killed in KP operations

Five Khwarij terrorists including a high-value target were gunned down during three different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to an ISPR statement released on Saturday, on 30 April and 1 May 2025, five Khwarij were sent to hell, while two were apprehended during three separate operations in KP.

An intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces in Bajaur District, on reported presence of Khwarij. During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, three Khwarij, including high-value target Kharji Fareed Ullah, were sent to hell.

Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in general area Dossali in North Waziristan District. In the ensuing fire exchange, two Khwarij were effectively neutralised by the security forces.

In the third encounter that took place in Mohmand District, the security forces successfully busted a Kharji hideout and apprehended two Khwarij, including high-value target Kharji Lal Ameer alias Ibrahim.

Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from these khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.

Sanitization operations were conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR statement said.

President, PM vow to eliminate terrorism

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces for killing five Khwarij and arresting two, in three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In their separate statements, they praised the bravery and professionalism of the security forces for the successful intelligence-based operations, which resulted in the killing of five terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij, including their ringleader, and also the demolishing of a high-value target.

They said the operations of the security forces will continue until the complete elimination of terrorists from the country.

Both the leaders reiterated the national resolve for the elimination of terrorist elements and the defense of the country.

Mohsin Naqvi praises security forces

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for their successful operations against extremist terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In a strong statement, the minister commended the professional capabilities and bravery of the forces after they eliminated five terrorists in recent operations.

Minister Naqvi acknowledged the forces’ effectiveness in thwarting the nefarious plans of the extremist militants, often referred to as “Khawarij terrorists” — a term historically used for violent rebels.

He stated that the operations had not only neutralized key threats but also delivered a strong message to other terrorist elements.

“We salute our security forces for sending five Khawarij terrorists to hell and foiling their evil intentions with skill and courage,” said the interior minister.

He emphasized that these operations reflect the significant progress made by security personnel in the ongoing fight against terrorism. “The security forces have achieved remarkable success against these enemies of peace,” he added.

Minister Naqvi also made it clear that the campaign against terrorism will continue until the complete elimination of such elements.

“Operations will go on until the last terrorist is defeated. The entire nation is proud of the bravery and sacrifices of our forces,” he affirmed.

The statement comes at a time when Pakistan continues to face security challenges, particularly in the northwestern regions bordering Afghanistan. The government has reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and stability through decisive military and intelligence efforts.
