AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim to visit Pakistan from tomorrow

The President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Senior Vice President of FIFA, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, will undertake an official visit to Pakistan from November 4 to 7, 2025, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.

According to an official statement, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, who is also a distinguished member of Bahrain’s royal family, will be accorded the status of a “State Guest” during his stay in Pakistan on the special directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Federal Adviser Senator Rana Sanaullah will extend a warm welcome to Sheikh Salman and his delegation, expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan.

During the visit, Sheikh Salman is scheduled to hold meetings with the country’s top civil and military leadership, where discussions will be focused on football infrastructure development, promotion of youth sports opportunities, and collaboration in sports development projects across Pakistan.

According to the official statement, both sides will also explore avenues for technical and institutional cooperation to enhance Pakistan’s sporting ecosystem.

Senator Rana Sanaullah said that Sheikh Salman’s historic visit will mark the beginning of a new era for football in Pakistan.

"It will foster stronger ties in sports diplomacy, youth empowerment, and regional cooperation among Pakistan, Bahrain, and other Asian nations."
