Three names finalised for HEC Executive Director slot

The process for appointing a new Executive Director of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has entered its final phase, as the selection committee has forwarded three shortlisted names to the Commission following interviews, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.  

According to reliable sources revealed that the three shortlisted candidates are Dr Zia-ul-Haq, presently serving as Vice Chancellor, Khyber Medical University (KMU), Dr Madad Ali Shah, Vice Chancellor, Shaheed Benazir University, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Dr Qaisar Abbas, Vice Chancellor, University of Sargodha.

The HEC selection board conducted interviews of 15 candidates for the key position before finalizing the top three names.

The final decision will be made by the Higher Education Commission Chairman, Mahboob Nadeem, who will approve one candidate from the three shortlisted individuals for appointment as Executive Director.
