Over 600 participate in New Year marathon in Lahore

Over 600 people from Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi and Kasur participated in the New Year marathon, organised under the auspices of Walton City Traffic Police at the CBD Gulberg, Lahore on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
There were three categories of the race: five kilometres, 10 kilometres and 20 kilometres.
CTO, Lahore, Dr Muhammad Athar Waheed, also participated in the race.
Terming the holding of the event a welcome development, people said that such kinds of events must be organised because these were necessary for human fitness.
