Another embarrassment for India as drunk Air India’s pilot held in Canada
Another embarrassment for India at international level as following incidents of plane crash, a pilot of Air India has been arrested in Canada while he was drunk, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to an international news agency, the flight was barred from taking off and the pilot was asked to get off from the plane.
On the other hand, Canada’s transport regulator has demanded Air India’s management to probe the incident and submit the report by January 26, while India’s Civil Aviation has issued a warning to four pilots of Air India.
The incident has again exposed flaws in Indian aviation system and unprofessionalism of its pilots.
According to the British news agency, the medical test of the pilot was also conducted, which turned out to be positive.
Transport Canada has directed Air India to submit its report.
Earlier on June 12, Air India’s plane, with 274 passengers on board, had crashed near Ahmadabad due to the negligence of Indian aviation.
