Section 144 extended in Rawalpindi for another week

Section 144 has been extended across Rawalpindi city for an additional seven days, remaining in effect until January 7, authorities announced on Sunday.

Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, Hassan Waqar Cheema, issued the official notification, imposing a complete ban on public gatherings and rallies throughout the city.

The order also prohibits the display of weapons and the usage of loudspeakers during this period.

The measure has been taken to maintain law and order, with authorities warning that violations of the order will be dealt with strictly under the law.
