Lahore Board’s annual matric exams begin

Annual matriculation examinations under Lahore Board began on Tuesday (today) with over 260,000 students participating, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Exams of a total of five subjects will be taken in both shifts on the first day.

Arabic and Geography papers are being taken in the first shift while Art, Woodworking and History subjects will be taken in the second shift.

As many as 568,000 candidates will appear in the 10th grade exam while 231,000 private candidates will appear in the matriculation exams and the number of regular candidates is 338,000.

As many as 948 examination centers have been established for matriculation exams and Section 144 has been imposed for all the examination centers banning entry of irrelevant persons in the examination centers.
