Pakistan’s refineries sector earned a record profit during the third quarter of the current fiscal year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

All the listed refineries showed outstanding performance during the third quarter of the current fiscal year.

The refinery sector earned Rs43 billion profit during the third quarter, while this sector earned only Rs6 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The profit of listed refineries reached Rs55 billion during the first nine months of the current fiscal year.

The refineries sector bears a loss of Rs12 billion during the first nine months of previous fiscal year.

Pakistan State Oil (PSO), APL, Attock Refineries, and Overseas Jeko showed strong growth.

A big margin was also recorded in petrol and diesel. The sale of petrol was recorded at 3,91,000 with an excess of 35 percent during the first nine months of the current fiscal year.

7,89,000 liters of diesel were sold with an increase of 34 percent during the first nine months of the current fiscal year.
