Soldiers kill 14 Indian-sponsored terrorists in Khuzdar gunbattle
Interior minister Naqvi lauds security forces for eliminating over 14 terrorists in Balochistan
As many as 14 terrorists belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Hindustan were killed and more than 20 others were injured in a major operation carried out by the security forces personnel in Khuzdar district of Balochistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday, quoting sources.
According to the sources, the security forces have foiled an attempt by these terrorists to terrorize the peaceful resident of Zahri town in Khuzdar.
The security forces also destroyed a number of hideouts of the terrorists with precision strikes.
The residents were in all praise for the security forces for eliminating terrorists from their area. They also raised slogans in support of the Pakistan Army.
The operation was launched after intelligence agencies traced the movement of terrorists involved in recent attacks targeting security convoys and infrastructure in southern Balochistan.
The security forces surrounded the hideouts and engaged the terrorists in a fierce exchange of fire that lasted several hours.
Security sources said that over 20 terrorists were also injured during the encounter, many of whom managed to flee into nearby rugged terrain. A heavy cache of weapons, ammunition, and communication equipment was recovered from the site.
The injured terrorists were being pursued through follow-up operations in adjoining areas, while search and clearance operations were underway to secure the remaining pockets.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating all militant networks operating in Balochistan and along the country’s western border.
Meanwhile, the jubilant residents stated that the presence of the Pakistan Army has ensured peace and stability in the region.
The security sources further stated that the terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan are frustrated by repeated failures, and the recent operation in Khuzdar has dealt a heavy blow to their network.
Interior minister lauds security forces for eliminating over 14 terrorists
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday lauded the security forces for eliminating more than 14 terrorists in Khuzdar district. Earlier, a statement issued on X by state broadcaster PTV News said security forces foiled an attempt to harass peaceful people in the Zehri area of the district and destroyed multiple terrorist hideouts during an operation while killing over 14 Fitna al-Hindustan members and injuring over 20.
In May, the government designated all terrorist organisations in Balochistan as Fitna al-Hindustan — a new phrase aimed at framing India’s alleged role in terrorism as a deliberate destabilisation strategy, potentially to galvanise domestic support. He further said that security forces are determined to eliminate Indian-sponsored terrorists in Balochistan. The people of Balochistan stand with the security forces. Indian-sponsored terrorists will not be allowed to hide anywhere.
