10,000 cops, 70 drones deployed to make Basant safe

A few hours left for Basant and Lahore Police have set up a control room for monitoring the provincial capital for safe celebrations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to Deputy Inspector General of police (operations) Faisal Kamran, more than 70 drones will be used to monitor the entire city and over 10,000 police officers and personnel are deployed in red, yellow and green zones.
Kite flying will be allowed after 12 midnight.
Further, cases will be registered against those who do not install safety rods on motorcycles and motorcycles will also be impounded.
However, kite flying is prohibited in areas around the airport.
