Basant preparations in full swing across Lahore

Only one day left and preparations of Basant continued in full swing in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.  

After 25 years, the sky will be filled with colors tomorrow and there will be noise on every rooftop and an atmosphere of celebration in every house on the occasion of Basant. 

Youths rushed to shops in the markets of the city to buy kites and strings. 

Some citizens have completed their shopping of kites and strings with decorating their roofs but some people still are looking for strings and kites. Youth said Basant is the identity of our culture but we heard stories in childhood about the Basant festival and its festivity and now we will celebrate Basant ourselves.

With one day left in the Basant festival and the influx of buyers of kites and string continued at Mochi Gate and other markets of the city. 

Citizens are looking for goody door at a reasonable price for the last day of Basant but kites and string and prices have reached the sky due to which citizens are worried.

Similarly, citizens started booking drums for the Hale Gale while drummers started asking for Rs5,000 for a four-hour booking. 

The rates for booking for the three days of Basant will be Rs15,000 and the time of booking, the drummers played drums on different tunes and citizens danced.

On the other hand, DHA residents begun preparations for three-day Basant Festival in Defence Phase IX Prism.

The venue for the three-day Basant Festival starting tomorrow has begun to be decorated.

Security arrangements have also been finalized to ensure the safety of citizens.

A stage for concerts and musical shows is being built on the Phase IX Prism Main Boulevard.

Tickets have been issued for entry to the Basant Festival in Phase IX.

Artists including Naseebo Lal, Arif Lohar, Nimra Mehr, Raga Boys, Ali Zafar and others will perform.

Food stalls and drum performances have been arranged for the Basant Festival.

On the special instructions of the Administrator DHA, citizens will get to see the biggest Basant Mela in DHA.

The three days of the Basant Festival have been decorated with colorful ceremonies.

All the corridors of Phase IX Prism have been illuminated with large floodlights and it is being lit.
