Kites, string worth over Rs1.22 billion sold so far in Lahore

In connection with Basant Festival, kites and string worth over Rs1.22 billion have been sold until the fourth day of business in various parts of Lahore on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to Legal Advisor Kite Flying Association Advocate Malik Faizan Ahmed sale and purchase of Kites and strings on the fourth day on rise in Lahore in connection with Basant.

More than 1 million kites were sold in the markets on the fourth day. 

More than 20,000 pinna was sold in the markets on the fourth day. 

One and half tawa gada is being sold for Rs700, one tawa for Rs400 and one quarter tawa for Rs300. 

Two-piece pinna is being sold for Rs12000 to Rs15000. 

On the fourth day, the rate of kites increased, and availability also increased. 

On the first day, Rs160 million, on the second day, Rs180, on the third day, Rs200 million, and on the fourth day, Rs680 million were bought and sold. 

Buying and selling of kites and string is ongoing in the inner Mochi Gate Market, Islampura, Sanda, Samanabad, Nunarian, Ichhra, and other areas of the city.
