AJK BISE postpones first annual Intermediate Exams
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mirpur has postponed the ongoing Intermediate first annual examinations across the valley until further notice due to disruptions caused by a lockdown called by the Public Action Committee.
According to 24News, the board officials said the decision was taken in view of the prevailing situation and concerns regarding the smooth conduct of examinations.
The exams will remain suspended until further orders, while revised dates will be announced later.
In an official statement, the board advised students, parents and educational institutions to closely follow official announcements for updates regarding the new examination schedule and other relevant information.
The board said fresh dates for the examinations would be announced once conditions return to normal and arrangements for conducting the exams can be ensured.
According to education sector officials, the postponement is expected to affect thousands of students across Azad Jammu and Kashmir who were appearing in the first annual intermediate examinations.
