Balochistan govt appoints Asim Khan as Inspector General of Prisons

The Balochistan government has appointed retired Captain Asim Khan as the new Inspector General (IG) of Prisons, according to an official notification issued on Friday.

Asim Khan, who was serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Nasirabad Division before his new assignment, has been transferred and posted as the head of the province's prison department with immediate effect.

The appointment comes as part of an administrative reshuffle within the provincial government.

Meanwhile, the outgoing Inspector General of Prisons, Abdul Saeed Naveed, has been directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) pending further orders.
