Naqvi orders early completion of Expressway Service Road project

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Islamabad’s Expressway Service Road project. CDA Chairman briefs Interior Minister on the project. Naqvi directed completion of the service road project within the stipulated timeframe. 

Later talking to media, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that this 9km long road was one year long project but the government will try its best complete it as early as possible. “Flyovers will be constructed at Faisal Mosque and Kashmir Chowk”, said Interior Minister. He said Sector C-14 has been completed while other CDA sectors will also be completed soon. 

He said after the completion of the project, Expressway will be declared a motorway. Interior Minister said CDA staff was involved in facilitating encroachments in Islamabad. Mohsin Naqvi said work on dams was underway as work has started at the Shahdara and Dotara dams.
