PM Shehbaz urges Pak Navy to utilize marine resources

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Pakistan Navy has the capability to deal with all kinds of challenges including terrorism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Prime Minister Shahbaz, addressing a workshop under the aegis of Pakistan Navy in Lahore, said brave officers and youth of Pakistan Navy are ensuring the security of the maritime boundaries. 

PM Shehbaz said blue economy has got key importance in today's era that was why Pakistan Navy was taking all out steps to utilize marine resources. 

He said, “We have to review the current state of Pakistan Shipping Corporation as country has only 12 commercial ships to transport goods. 

He said friendly country China was also ready to provide full cooperation in the maritime sector, adding that development and prosperity of the country is not possible without exploration of blue economy. 

The Prime Minister said the port of Gwadar was central to country’s economic prosperity. 

Talking about menace of terrorism, Prime Minister said before 2018 elections, PML-N government has completely eradicated terrorism. Unfortunately, the scourge of terrorism has now reared its head again, PM added. 

PM Shehbaz said in war against terrorism, 80 thousand Pakistan people have lost their lives and the economy suffered a colossal loss of $30 billion. The Prime Minister said Apex Committee meetings were held to ensure peace and order and all stake holders were determined to end the scourge of terrorism from the country.
