Punjab CM Maryam inaugurates Free Solar Panel Scheme

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has formally inaugurated ‘CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Under ‘CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme’ as many as 100,000 consumers will be given free solar panels.
Punjab consumers can apply through SMS or online portal from today.
Maryam Nawaz said the aim of the free solar panel scheme is to provide permanent relief to the public from expensive electricity.
She said that 7.3 million consumers of Punjab benefited from Rs14 subsidy per unit.
