One worker dies, two critical after falling into sewer drain in Qabula Sharif

One sanitation worker lost his life while two others were left in critical condition after falling into a sewer drain during a cleaning operation near village 87-EB in Qabula Sharif on Friday.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when one worker accidentally slipped into the drain. Two of his colleagues fell in while attempting to rescue him.

Rescue teams were rushed to the scene and managed to retrieve all three workers from the drain. One of them was pronounced dead, while the other two were shifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The deceased and injured workers were identified as Qadir, Arshad and Afaq. Rescue officials said the body and the injured workers were transported to hospital for further procedures and treatment.

Further investigation into the incident is underway.
