Dar, Sugiono review Pak-Indonesia bilateral relations, discuss regional issues
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday held a telephone conversation with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono, during which the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and discussed key regional and global issues, the Foreign Office said.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, the discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia, particularly in multilateral forums such as the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Both sides underscored the importance of continued coordination to advance shared interests.
The foreign ministers exchanged views on the evolving global situation, including developments in Somalia and ongoing efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in Gaza. They emphasized the need for constructive engagement and collective action to address humanitarian and security challenges.
At the conclusion of the conversation, Ishaq Dar and Sugiono agreed to maintain close contact and continue consultations on important regional and international matters of mutual concern.
