5 ‘terrorists’ killed in Quetta gunbattle

Five alleged terrorists were killed in a gunbattle with personnel of law-enforcement agencies in Quetta on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a spokesman of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), the shootout took place in Quetta’s Hazar Ganji area and the law enforcers also seized weapons and ammunition from the site.
The security personnel cordoned off the area and asked the armed terrorists to surrender but they opened indiscriminate fire of the security men, who returned fire, resulting in the killing of five terrorists.
He said the alleged terrorists had plotted to target sensitive installations. Their bodies have been shifted to a hospital for identification, he added.
On June 28 last, a Frontier Corps (FC) personnel was martyred when an explosive device (IED), targeting a water tanker, exploded in Balochistan’s Hoshab district.

The terrorists targeted a water tanker with an IED in Hoshab district and resultantly one soldier of FC Balochistan named Sepoy Kifait Ullah had embraced martyrdom.
On June 14 last, four Frontier Corps soldiers were martyred in an explosion of an improvised explosive device in Balochistan. The FC soldiers performing security duty were attacked by unknown terrorists in Quetta.
A large-scale area sanitization operation by FC Balochistan to hunt down the terrorists was conducted.
As per details, Subedar Sardar All Khan, Sepoy Musaddaf Hussain, Sepoy Muhammad Anwar and Sepoy Awais Khan lost their lives in the attack.
