Haris Waheed reveals hilarious 'over 47 takes' secret from his early acting career
Pakistani actor Haris Waheed has brought down the house on Tabish Hashmi’s hit comedy talk show, Hasna Mana Hai, by sharing a hilarious behind the scenes secret from his early career.
During a fun banter segment, Tabish teased the actor about his very first time facing a television camera, asking if it was true that he gave so many takes that the director completely lost his cool.
Haris laughingly admitted to the incident, explaining that transitioning from theater to TV was quite a struggle. "It was our very first scene, and it was also the lead actress's first day on TV," Haris revealed.
"We gave so many takes that a frustrated director finally screamed, 'Pack up their bags and send them home!' I got so scared."
When Tabish jokingly asked if he actually crossed 47 takes, Haris shocked the audience by admitting it was way more than that.
He further explained that extreme heat and anxiety made things much worse on set. "The director was furious, it was burning hot, and I was so nervous that I sweated through entire boxes of tissue papers," Haris added.
Luckily, the actor bounced back quickly and found his perfect rhythm by the very next shoot. He noted that today, things are completely different, and directors are now incredibly supportive whenever actors improvise lines on set.
