Imam Masjid shot dead inside Peshawar mosque

An Imam of a mosque was shot dead in the compound of the worship place in Budh Bair in Peshawar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to police, some armed assailants entered the mosque and opened fire on Imam Masjid Maulana Atlas. He died on the spot.

The worshippers present in the mosque recognized the attackers.

The son of the deceased Imam claimed that Ghuffar and Halim Ullah opened fire on his father and killed him.

The deceased Maulana’s younger brother, Maulana Jahan, was also shot dead in the same mosque some time back.

 Man killed in coach in Lakki Marwat

 Separately, a young man was killed by firing in a flying coach in Lakki Marwat.

An innocent young girl who was sitting in the coach also got hurt in the firing.

Police said that Abdul Latif was going to court and was travelling in a coach. Some persons boarded the coach and opened fire at him, killing him on the spot.

However, a young woman passenger also sustained injuries during firing.
