Sindh govt decides to delay lockdown for one day

The Sindh government on Thursday decided to enforce a complete lockdown in the province from Sunday (May 9) instead of Saturday. 

According to provincial minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, shops will remain open from 6am to 6pm and a strict lockdown would be effective from Sunday. The minister said that people could do business in the next two days with coronavirus SOPs strictly in place. 

The provincial minister said that a notification about the lockdown would be issued on Sunday. He expressed the hope that businessmen would take maximum precaution to protect people’s lives and strictly follow the SOPs prepared by the government to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
