Lahore police have recovered a minor girl safely, who was allegedly abducted from the China Scheme area of the city, within 24 hours in a joint operation with Safe City officials, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The police identified and traced the accused with the help of Safe City Camera Network. 

The CCTV footage shows victim Muskan Fatima was sitting next to her mentally-challenged uncle in China Scheme area when a person dressed in shalwar kameez lured the girl and took her with him. 

Police swung into action after the case was reported and traced his location. 

The accused was traced for 8 kilometers with the help of more than 300 cameras to find the kidnapped girl.

Finally, the police managed to recover the girl safely from Badami Bagh area and handed her over to her parents. 

The parents of the kidnapped girl thanked the police team and appreciated their performance. 

Meanwhile, SP Raza Tanveer said that the elements involved in the abduction of innocent children do not deserve any leniency and will be punished in accordance with the law.
