The Federal Investigation Agency has carried out a major operation against illegal hawala and hundi networks, arresting two suspects and recovering a large amount of cash near Chakdara Toll Plaza in the Malakand district.

According to officials, the operation was conducted on 5 May 2026 under the supervision of Assistant Director Muhammad Naseer, following intelligence reports. During the raid, two suspects, Muhammad Imran and Usman, were taken into custody.

Authorities recovered more than 250 million rupees in cash from the suspects. In addition, important evidence linked to the hawala and hundi business was also seized during the operation.
