Woman injured in monkey attack in Sialkot

An elderly woman was injured after being attacked by a wild monkey in the Puran Nagar area of Sialkot, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, the victim, identified as Rukhsana Bibi, was preparing breakfast at her home when the animal suddenly attacked her. She fell during the incident and suffered a fracture to her wrist.

She was shifted to a nearby civil hospital, where she received first aid and her arm was placed in a plaster cast. After treatment, she was discharged and sent home.

Family members said the woman, who works to support her livelihood, is now unable to continue her work due to the injury.

Residents of the area have called on the authorities to take immediate action against the presence of wild monkeys, expressing fear over the safety of people in the neighbourhood.

The affected woman has also appealed to the concerned departments to take notice of the situation and prevent further incidents.
