Karachi private school sealed over spycam scandal

November 6, 2021 05:48 PM

Authorities have sealed a private school after spy cams were found in the female teachers’ washroom, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The school is located at Safora Goth in the port city. On Friday, the School Education Department has cancelled the registration of ‘The Haracks School’.

However, the FIA stated that the director-general of SED did not forward any complaint regarding taking action against the school.

Female teachers wrote to the School Education Department (SED) about the spy cams. They made complaints to the education authorities saying they faced harassment as secret cameras recorded their activities in the ladies’ room.

The SED has constituted a three-member committee that will present its report in four days. It will take action against the school principal in the light of the inquiry report.

The SED team raided the school and found a secret camera installed in the lavatory reserved for the female teachers.
