Govt debt decreases by Rs 780 billion: SBP

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has said that the total government debt decreased by Rs 780 billion in August 25, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to SBP, the total government debt came to Rs 77,458 billion, by August 2025, in comparison to July 25, in which the total government debt was Rs 78,238 billion. According to the details, the government's domestic debt decreased by Rs 915 billion to Rs 54,073 billion in August 25, while the government's external debt has increased by Rs 135 billion to Rs 23,385 billion as of August 25.
