President of the Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali Khan Thursday welcomed the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Asfandyar Wali said that this is the victory of democracy and for democratic parties.

Asfandyar said that today it has been proved that no one is above the constitution and parliament, adding that this is the victory of democracy and the people.

Asfandyar said that the decisions based on dictatorship cannot be accepted in a democracy.

Asfandyar said that his party extends congratulations to the people and all the forces that are working to restore democracy.

Violators of the constitution must now be brought to justice, said Asfandyar.

Asfandyar lambasted the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and said that the party stubbornly thwarted unconstitutional measures.

Asfandyar concluded that the role of all leaders of the joint opposition, lawyers, civil society and media in this regard is commendable.
