Hamza Shehbaz to move LHC over Punjab CM election issue

PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz will file a constitutional petition in the Lahore High Court on Friday (tomorrow) seeking court order for holding election of chief minister in the Punjab Assembly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Punjab Assembly speaker, deputy speaker and others were made respondents in the petition, which prays that the post of chief minister was vacant since April 1 and the court should order summoning of the assembly session and immediate election of the CM.
It was also requested in the petition to declare as illegal the step to seal the Punjab Assembly gates.
Atta Tarar behind time
Earlier, PML-N leader Attaullah Tarrar could not be able to submit the petition regarding the Punjab Assembly as the diary branch of the Lahore high Court was closed Thursday.
Attaullah Tarrar rushed to the LHC but the diary branch was closed for the day and he could not submit the petition.
