Irregularities in voters’ list: ECP decides to remove complaints

Acknowledging the complaints of irregularities in the voters’ list, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to re-verify the election lists in collaboration with NADRA and the local government.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP has decided to remove the irregularities in voter lists from NADRA and local government records.
The sources said the ECP will instruct the District Election Commissioners to conduct self-monitoring of local government records and electoral rolls.
As per the ECP decision, an appeal will also be made to the public to eliminate irregularities in the electoral rolls and an advertisement campaign will be conducted asking all the people to confirm their vote by texting their vote to 8300.
The sources said that the ECP has also decided to release the final list of electoral rolls on August 25 and until the election schedule is released, any citizen will be able to verify his vote and vote transfer.
