JUI-F wants to get seminaries out of govt's influence: Fazl
JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has said that the contemporary education is need of the hour and all seminary students are getting modern education but government wanted to maintain its pressure on them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a public meeting in Nowshera on Saturday, Maulana Fazl said that JUI-F wanted to see madrassah out of the government influence.
He claimed that the government, international establishment were pushing seminaries to extremism, adding that JUI-F did not want war with the government.
Maulana Fazl said that seminaries open their bank accounts but government get it closed. He said that seminaries have stood up for their rights as it seemed the government has waged a war against them.
JUI Chief said that during PDM government, all stakeholders had agreed on registration of the madrassah. PML-N President Nawaz Sharif had said that they had no objection on it.
JUI Chief pledged that they wanted to bring madrassahs into main stream education system.
