ECP refuses to accept Barrister Gohar as PTI Chairman

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) refused to accept Barrister Gohar Ali Khan as Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), reported 4NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has already informed Barrister Gohar Ali Khan through a letter.
In the letter, the ECP said that Barrister Gohar sought permission from the ECP to accept the request of inclusion of independent Senators in PTI.
The letter further explained that PTI already obtained a stay order from the Lahore High Court regarding intra-party elections.
Election Commission of Pakistan turned down the request and informed him that “Barrister Gohar has no legal authority to accept him as the PTI chairmanship”.
