Four cops arrested for drug-dealing involvement, ice recovered

Lahore police personnel have allegedly been found involved in running a drug-dealing operation, prompting the City Crime Department to take swift action, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday. 

According to CCD sources, four officers posted in the Investigation Wing were taken into custody after credible intelligence surfaced regarding their suspected role in narcotics trafficking.

The detained officials include Head Constable Muhammad Hira Gul, who serves as the record keeper at the Cantt Malkhana. 

Authorities said investigations are currently underway to determine the extent of the officers’ involvement and identify any additional links in the network.

CCD officials confirmed that two kilograms of crystal meth, commonly known as ice, valued in the millions, were recovered from the possession of the arrested personnel. 

The department has launched a formal inquiry and is expected to broaden the scope of the investigation in the coming days.
