No military operation being conducted in Balochistan, says Bugti

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said on Sunday that close to 100 Baloch separatists had laid down their arms in Dera Bugti, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that laying down of arms by these militants was a good omen. “For us, the state is supreme,” he said, and added that those spreading anti-state propaganda would have to stop doing that.

The chief minister further said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan defeated an enemy seven times stronger than it. “Terrorists cannot impose their ideology on us,” he added.

Referring to the PTI, Bugti said that the party had lost a by-election in its own province, KP. “The by-poll has laid bare their popularity graph.”

He lamented that anti-field marshal narrative was unleashed on social media. “We are with our army and will continue to stand by it,” he vowed.

He refuted reports that a military operation was being carried out in Balochistan, adding not a single village had been evacuated in the province.
