A local court in Lahore granted interim bail to PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi in three cases registered against him under terror charges till July 21, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar on Friday heard petitions filed by former foreign minister seeking bail in three cases.
Qureshi appeared before the anti-terrorism court in person.
While granting him interim bail till July 21, the ATC judge directed Qureshi to join police investigation.
Earlier, the PTI vice chairman filed his bail applications in three cases registered at Model Town and Naseerabad police stations in Lahore. The cases pertained to torching a container at Kalma Chowk and arson attack on the PML-N office.
While talking to media outside the court, Qureshi said that he held several meetings with PTI Chairman Imran Khan. He asked reporters ‘do not listen to rumours’.
He said that an IMF delegation was meeting them and Imran would apprise them of his stance.
Qureshi lamented that authorities registered three more cases against him but he got bail in these cases too.
