Army establishes relief camp at accident site

The relief and rescue efforts are in progress by Army and Pakistan Rangers troops at the site of the unfortunate accident in Ghotki district where two trains collide early Monday morning leaving 40 people dead and over 100 injured.
According to an Inter Services Public Relations press release, Army Urban Search & Rescue team carrying Disc cutter, Hydraulic spreaders, life locators and search cameras that have been specially flown from Rawalpindi are being used in relief and rescue efforts.
Rescue 1122 team from Rahim Yar Khan is also part of the rescue operation and frame cutting of train is in progress to evacuate people trapped inside the boggies.
Most of the injured have been evacuated to hospitals of Rahim Yar khan, Ghotki and Mirpur Mathelo while seriously injured people are being evacuated to Pano Aqil through helicopter.
A relief camp has also been established at the incident site where the cooked meal is being provided to the victims of train Incident. Army doctors and paramedics are providing first aid and necessary emergency medical care.
