PSDP session spells out priorities for development plans

Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday said the public sector development programme can trigger economic activity and create job opportunities in the country, reported 24 News HD TV Channel.
Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday presided over a session held to discuss the proposed recommendations regarding the next fiscal’s public sector development programme.
Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen, Minister for Development Asad Umar, Minister for Industries Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Special Assistant to PM Dr Waqar Masood and senior officials participated in the session.
The meeting discussed development programmes started in the current fiscal year and the use of funds. It also deliberated on the features of next fiscal year’s development programme initiated under the PSDP, determination of priorities regarding new schemes and monitoring of ongoing development plans.
Prime Minister Khan while determining priorities for these welfare and development programmes emphasized on the importance of including these plans in the new fiscal policy.
The premier said these public sector development programmes would boost economic activities and improve the opportunities for job employment in the country.
The PM ordered to formulate these recommendations deliberated in the present session into a proper plan in the next PSDP meeting.
