Fire breaks out in Sialkot foam factory

A fire broke out in a foam factory near Motra canal in Sialkot on Thursday injuring three persons and gutting property worth millions of rupees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The fire engulfed the entire factory, and nearby mosques and monasteries were evacuated due to clouds of smoke and severe fire. Workers were reportedly present in the factory.
The fire could not be brought under control for several hours. Three workers were injured in the blaze. The chemical and diesel drums in the factory also caught fire.
According to factory manager, the fire broke out due to a short circuit. No casualties were reported but the property worth crores of rupees was burnt to ashes.
Rescue personnel evacuated people trapped in the roof. Two men went to the roof to save their lives after the fire broke out.
