US dollar reaches all-time high against Pakistani rupee

The US dollar gained only four paisas on Thursday but still managed to go all-time high of Rs171 against the Pakistani rupee, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Economist Asad Rizvi said that the US dollar had increased Rs18.72 in last three months that also added burden of Rs2,100 billion to the foreign debt.

The dollar was at 152.28 against the Pakistani rupee on May 7, 2017. He said that the rupee was under pressure due to an increase in crude oil imports. Asad explained said payment of $1 billion on Islamic Sukuk bonds will increase pressure this month.
